SCORE Presents ‘How To Use Technology for Your Business’ at FREE April 12 Anaheim Event

One-Day Event Open to Entrepreneurs And Small Business Owners and Managers; Learn How to Use Technology to More Efficiently Compete in All Areas of Your Business

WASHINGTON, March 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — SCORE, a nonprofit association dedicated to helping America’s small businesses start, grow and succeed, today announced “How to Use Technology for Your Business,” a FREE one-day educational and networking event for small business leaders.  The event, to be held Tuesday, April 12 in Anaheim, is filled with workshops, roundtables and meet-and-greet opportunities that will help attendees better understand technology, its uses for their business, and how to effectively measure its impact.

“How to Use Technology for Your Business” is a key component of SCORE’s recently announced e-Business Now initiative, formed in partnership with twelve other companies, organization and government agencies to help small businesses leverage technology to fuel their future success. The April 12 event is hosted by the Orange County SCORE chapter for the benefit of startups and growing Southern California businesses.

Highlights of the event include two workshops: “Using Technology to Jumpstart Your Sales,” a presentation on the value of, and the techniques for, creating an e-Commerce presence; and “Building the Perfect Website for Your Small Business,” a how-to on how to design and publish a website that illustrates your brand, your products and services, and offers visitors fresh and beneficial information.

Other highlights of the “How to Use Technology for Your Business” event include:

  • Keynote Presentation from Terry Horne, President and Publisher of the Orange County Register.
  • Eight Roundtable Discussions on subjects ranging from “Using Analytics to Target Your Customer” to “What About Hardware? Where is it Going?” and “Social Media Confusion? How to Put the Parts Together for Your Business”
  • Opening remarks by SCORE, the FCC and the SBA.
  • Networking Opportunities with other attendees as well as e-Business Now partners.
  • Free lunch and beverages for all attendees.
