The marketing team at Ampegy was selected as a 2011 American Marketing Association (AMA) Finalist in the energy: transportation/transmission/utilities/marketing category. Every year, AMA of Houston recognizes exceptional marketing by Houston area companies, organizations and institutions.
With a limited budget and challenge of being a new, start-up company, Ampegy met the task and produced strong results with a strategic marketing plan that incorporated a mix of radio, outdoor, print advertising, online advertising and social media marketing.
Under the leadership of Director of Marketing, Cheri Davies, the team introduced the Rep Look Up Tool, a first of its kind in the energy network marketing industry. As a customer acquisition channel for Spark Energy, Davies has led Ampegy’s marketing initiatives and transformed the new organization in less than a year to a nationally recognized energy network marketing company.

The first round of voting is currently underway to choose the top marketing organization in each of the 30-plus industry categories. Category winners will go on to be considered for the top Marketer of the Year. Winners of the results-based marketing competition will be announced Monday, March 12, 2012 at the annual Marketer of the Year gala in Houston.
